About Donna Broadus

I have been in real estate since 2003 and became a broker in 2010. I have worked with the Bigger Brokerage firms in the past but I wanted a team of agents who weren't required to conform to the big brokerages which essentially promotes their brand . I wanted a more personal one on one client experience that I can taylor to each individual seller or buyer. With that in mind, I opened my own brokerage firm in 2014 with a couple of agents who work with me as a team.

 

I was one of the first few agents in my area to actively help my sellers, prior to listing, choose updates needed, including paint, fixtures and flooring, and also to point out needed repairs. I have a list of preferred vendors I used that I work together with to coordinate the updates and repairs, some of who are willing to get paid at closing and others who can work out special financing. I also was one of the first REALTORS® to include minor staging with updated decor as part of the brokers compensation. I am a Certified Professional Stager.

 

I have sold Hundreds of homes in the past 23 years in the North Metro Atlanta area focusing on mainly Cherokee and Cobb counties. However I have also sold many homes in Bartow, Pickens and Forsyth counties. The majority of my clients have been repeat clients throughout the years as well as they send me lots of referral business.

 

I specialize in single family homes but have also sold a good bit of vacant land or lots and also homes with acreage. I have worked with developers in the past and helped with the planning and zoning process. 

 

I had a second business in 2010-2014 that helped homeowners appeal the values on their property taxes and now currently will help my clients do that as a service to them. My second business was called My Property Tax Appeal and we helped homeowners in the Atlanta and North Metro Atlanta appeal their property taxes, We were featured in the AJC and appeared on WSB tv and Clark Howard. We worked with our local senator to help change some state laws about property taxes as they relate to property values.

 

I stay in touch with my current and past clients a bi monthly Home By Design magazine with home, garden and food articles and have been doing this for over 15 years.

 

Prior to a seller listing their home and as part of my fees and services, I send them complimentary moving boxes and tape to help them get started.packing.

 

I use professional photography for all my listing photos along with providing aerial photo views. I also promote my listings, through reels, and on my stories, through Social Media and send email to other agents who may have buyers whose criteria may meet my listings.

 

As a sideTidbit, I was on an episode of The Property Ladder on TLC, that was shot in Atlanta, back in 2007, as one of the agents.

 

I have lived in Woodstock, GA for 32 years and seen all the growth and changes throughout the years. I've raised 4 kids in Woodstock and now have 10 grandkids, 6 of whom live in the Woodstock area as well.
