Licensed, Coming Soon, or Already Open? Sorting Out the New Names Around Wyngate This Fall

Maple Street Biscuit Company has been at Towne Lake Square, 2295 Towne Lake Parkway, Suite 160, for years. In September 2017, the local site ScoopOTP reported that the chain had leased the space, which had been Papa P's before that. The online ordering page still offers pickup starting at 7 a.m.

It also shows up on the City of Woodstock's list of businesses licensed in August 2026. On that line, the license holder is Biscuit Belly LLC, doing business as Maple Street Biscuit Company, with 20 employees and a full-service restaurant classification.

So a breakfast spot that's been on Towne Lake Parkway for years sits on the same "new business" list as a Sephora that hadn't opened yet. For anyone in Wyngate, which you reach from Towne Lake Parkway, the fall lists are full of names like that. Most of the "new" names are paperwork, either for businesses that are already open or for ones that aren't open yet. To figure out which storefronts will actually change, look at the license holder's name and then at the storefront itself.

What the city's list records

Woodstock posts a New Business Listing spreadsheet every month. Woodstock Post turns it into a readable list. Its September 2026 edition, updated Oct. 6, counts 31 businesses licensed that month, ranging from a car dealership with 107 employees to one-person home offices.

The rule is simple. A license is required before a business opens inside city limits. Woodstock Post points out that a license can also mean a new owner, a move within the city or a second location, and that the report doesn't give opening dates. Each row lists the legal name, a trade name when there is one, an address, a business type and an employee count. Those columns tell you more than the business name does.

The names on the roads Wyngate uses

Here's how the August and September 2026 licenses on Towne Lake Parkway, Eagle Drive, Highway 92 and Ridgewalk Parkway compare with what's at each address.

Business Address Licensed What the storefront shows
Maple Street Biscuit Company Towne Lake Square, 2295 Towne Lake Pkwy, Ste 160 August, under Biscuit Belly LLC Open, with pickup from 7 a.m.
Sourdough & Co 1426 Towne Lake Pkwy, Ste 103 Sept. 17 Chain's page says "Coming Soon"
Steven Nails by CN 1426 Towne Lake Pkwy, Ste 101 August Licensed nail salon, three employees
L'Amour Nail and Spa The Shoppes at Eagle Point, 2990 Eagle Dr, Ste 103 August Licensed nail salon, three employees
Dunkin' 12182 Hwy 92 August, under ECC GA LLC Licensed with seven employees
Karma Society 12184 Hwy 92, Ste A125 August Licensed beauty salon
MN Nails Salon & Spa 12910 Hwy 92, Ste 109 Sept. 30 Licensed nail salon
Group 1 Honda Woodstock 8931 Hwy 92 September Existing dealership in a pending sale
Sephora 915 Ridgewalk Pkwy, Ste E-575 August Mall page says "Opening October 2026"
Greg Norman Retail Outlet 915 Ridgewalk Pkwy, Ste E-535 Sept. 4 Listed in the Outlet Shoppes directory

Sourdough & Co is the clearest case of a business that's licensed but not open. The Woodstock location page shows the Suite 103 address under a "Coming Soon" banner, and its hiring button reads "Accepting Applications Soon." When a chain isn't hiring yet, its doors aren't about to open, whatever the license date says. Two doors down at the same address, Steven Nails by CN got its license the month before.

The Maple Street line works the other way. The trade name hasn't changed, but the company holding the license is listed as Biscuit Belly LLC. That's how a business that's already open ends up on a list of new ones.

The 107-employee line is an ownership change on Highway 92

The biggest new license near Wyngate this fall belongs to Group 1 Honda Woodstock at 8931 Highway 92, the largest business on the September list with 107 employees. That's not a new dealership. Houston-based Group 1 Automotive announced on July 30, 2026 that it had agreed to buy the dealership assets and real estate of Hennessy Automobile Companies, a group of 10 dealerships. WSB-TV's coverage lists Honda of Woodstock among them.

According to the release, the deal is expected to close by the end of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals, manufacturer approvals and standard closing conditions. The dealership's own website still uses the Hennessy Honda of Woodstock name. The building, address and service department are the same ones Highway 92 drivers already pass. If the deal closes as planned, the change will be in who owns it.

Ridgewalk Parkway shows how long the gap can be

The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta shows how long it can take to get from a license to an open door. Sephora's license for Suite 575 at 915 Ridgewalk Parkway is on the August 2026 report, with 17 employees. The mall's Sephora page carries the banner "Opening October 2026" and lists Sunday hours of 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. That's about two months between the license and the opening, and Sephora had a corporate build-out schedule behind it.

Greg Norman Retail Outlet got its license for Suite E-535 on Sept. 4 and already shows up in the mall's directory. The food court got its newcomers earlier. In March 2026, the Tribune Ledger-News reported that Café Eataly and Lokma Mediterranean Kitchen had opened there, run from a single kitchen with separate menus. Café Eataly serves homemade pasta, sandwiches, gelato and coffee, and Lokma serves shawarma, falafel, hummus and baklava.

The real openings tend to come with announcements from the business or the mall. Paperwork-only entries like the Maple Street one don't.

The list doesn't show closings

A license report only records businesses arriving, so departures never appear on it. In June 2026, the Tribune Ledger-News reported that Tiger-Rock Martial Arts Academy at Towne Lake Village Shopping Center on Rose Creek Drive had closed on May 31 and that its students were moving to another martial arts school.

None of that shows up in a city spreadsheet. You'll only notice a closing like this from the storefront or the local paper. If a new license lists a Towne Lake Village address in a coming month, that row is the first public sign of what's moving into an empty unit.

Checking the next list yourself

The September 2026 report was posted on Oct. 2. If the city sticks to that schedule, each month's licenses will show up early the following month. Reading one takes a few minutes:

  1. Open the city's New Business Listing page and download the latest spreadsheet, or skim Woodstock Post's monthly version.
  2. Search for the roads you drive every day, such as Towne Lake Parkway, Eagle Drive, Highway 92 and Rose Creek Drive.
  3. Compare the legal name with the trade name. A familiar trade name with a different company behind it, like the Biscuit Belly LLC line, usually points to an existing business, not a new one.
  4. Look at the employee count. Seven or more points to a real storefront, and one-person entries are often home offices.
  5. Check the brand's own location page. "Coming Soon" and "Accepting Applications Soon" mean the doors are still a ways off. An ordering page with pickup times means the place is open.
  6. For anything the spreadsheet doesn't settle, call the city's Business License office at 770-592-6054, open weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
